Kevin Schade added to Germany squad as Leweling struggles with injury

Kevin Schade has been called up to the German national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.

The German Football Association announced on Tuesday that the Brentford winger will join the squad as VfB Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling struggles with adductor problems.

Schade and Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade, who was unable to travel to Germany on Monday due to illness, were both expected to link up with the team on Tuesday evening.

Germany face Luxembourg on Friday in the first of two World Cup qualifiers this month.
