Kim Min-Jae ‘to stay’ at Bayern next season

Kim Min-Jae looks set to remain at Bayern for the 2026-27 season, with Sky Germany reporting a change of plans in Munich and that the defender is no longer a candidate for sale.

An exception would only be made if an extraordinary offer arrived and Kim wanted to accept it.

The Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal holders intend to keep him and are planning with him for next season. Kim, for his part, had not been looking to leave and is eager to fight for his place.

The centre-back is under contract until 2028. He featured in all three of South Korea's 2026 World Cup group matches.

Last season the 29-year-old made 32 appearances in all competitions, often coming on after half-time.
