After the full-time whistle last night, German national team captain Joshua Kimmich thanked the fans of hosting Bosnia & Herzegovina for providing a welcoming and fun atmosphere during Friday's Nations League duel.

Bosnia & Herzegovina supporters packed the Bilino Polje Stadium to the brim last night to watch their team host Germany in a 2024/25 UEFA Nations League duel. Although the visiting DFB-XI managed to capture all three points in a 2-1 victory, the match remained captivating right up until the very end. Former VfL Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko pulled a goal back late, leaving the Germans to defend a slender lead until the full-time whistle came.

Newly anointed German national team skipper Joshua Kimmich held the responsibility of conducting the main post-match interview with German broadcaster RTL after the match. After speaking on incidents such as the two disallowed offside goals chalked off due to Tim Kleindienst offside positions, the 29-year-old took time to thank the sold-out crowd of 13,500 spectators for supplying an invigorating atmosphere.

“We are satisfied,” Kimmich remarked in his post-match interview, "But, of course, we missed the chance to decide the game earlier. We had a bit of a hard time at the beginning and also in the first five minutes after the 2-1. Then there's the matter of two offside goals to consider."

"The [Bosnia & Herzegovina] fans were very fair [in a tightly contested game]," Kimmich continued, "and they applauded us both before and after the match. That's not something one often experiences."
