Klopp provides injury updates on Havertz and Musiala after Netherlands draw | OneFootball

Germany were dealt a double injury blow on Thursday, as Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala was forced to pull out of the starting lineup for their 1-1 UEFA Nations League draw with the Netherlands before Arsenal's Kai Havertz was later forced off in the first half.

Musiala reported thigh discomfort during the warm-up and was ultimately ruled out, while Havertz was forced off before half-time after also appearing to pick up a thigh problem. Both players underwent MRI scans on Thursday night. 

“I hope we get the diagnosis this evening and that it’s nothing serious,” Germany coach Jürgen Klopp told RTL (via Kicker).

Whether the duo will be fit for Sunday’s game against Greece is now highly doubtful.

Klopp said he hopes both players will “be fit again relatively quickly”, but added: “They are probably out for us.”
