Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. Spurs suffered a poor 2-0 loss away at Manchester United recently, so they would be eager to bounce back by putting in a good showing versus the Magpies this week.

Thomas Frank will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Randal Kolo Muani, Radu Dragusin and Souza could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will feature in between the sticks for the London club after he shipped in a couple of goals in his last appearance. Radu Dragusin will function alongside Micky van de Ven at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.

Archie Gray could fill in as a makeshift right-back, while Souza looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Jun’ai Byfield will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher and Joao Palhinha will anchor the midfield for Tottenham as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Randal Kolo Muani, Pape Matar Sarr and Xavi Simons will play just ahead of them as part of the Tottenham backline. All three of them need to be at their best if Tottenham are to secure maximum points this Tuesday night.

Yves Bissouma will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Dominic Solanke will lead the line for the North London club up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Mathys Tel will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
