In around an hour’s time, FC Bayern will host VfB Stuttgart in the 30th Bundesliga matchday. We bring you the starting line-ups for the game.
After FC Bayern secured a convincing 4-3 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals during the week, the next top match in the Bundesliga is now against VfB Stuttgart. If the Munich side score today, they will be guaranteed the German championship.
Jonas Urbig replaces Manuel Neuer in goal, with Josip Stanisic, Hiroki Ito, Minjae Kim and Alphonso Davies forming the back four, with Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka starting in front of them.
On the right wing, Michael Olise gets a rest and is replaced by Raphael Guerreiro. Jamal Musiala starts on the ten, with Luis Díaz alongside him. Striker Harry Kane is also on the bench today, with Nicolas Jackson coming in for him up front.
Should things get tight against VfB Stuttgart, Munich’s bench is still well-stocked, with Jonathan Tah, Konrad Laimer and Aleksandar Pavlovic among those in the squad alongside Kane and Olise.
However, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany still has a few absentees to lament: Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl are missing with torn muscle fibres, Serge Gnabry has suffered a long-term adductor injury and several talented players, such as David Santos-Daiber, are also absent.
FC Bayern: Urbig – Stanisic, M.-J. Kim, H. Ito, Davies – Goretzka, Kimmich – Guerreiro, Musiala, Díaz – Jackson
VfB Stuttgart (probable): Nübel – Assignon, Chabot, Hendriks, Mittelstädt – Karazor, Stiller – Leweling, El Khannouss, Führich – Demirovic
