Bayern Munich’s contract talks with Konrad Laimer are at a standstill over wage expectations, leaving an extension uncertain.
According to Sky Germany, Laimer currently earns around €10 million gross a year and is seeking €15 million, a figure Bayern executives Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen are not prepared to meet at this stage.
Despite the impasse, an agreement remains possible, with relations between Laimer, his representatives and the club said to be very good.
Bayern want to extend his deal, which runs until the summer of 2027.
Laimer has often been Vincent Kompany’s preferred option at right-back this season.
The club are also looking to strengthen that position in the summer, with Feyenoord’s Givairo Read viewed as the leading target and 17-year-old Daniel Banjaqui of Benfica seen as an alternative.
