Konyaspor are pushing to sign Al Ahly midfielder Imam Ashour, aiming to use their final foreign-player slot in the current transfer window.

Yeni Haber reports that talks have yet to produce a final agreement, although Konyaspor have not backed away and remain intent on the 28-year-old Egyptian.

Al Ahly initially held out for eight million dollars plus bonuses, then eased their stance, with the fee now expected to settle at seven and a half million dollars.

Final details are still to be agreed. Even so, the club still hope to reach terms with Al Ahly and complete a deal for Ashour, their top target this summer.

Ashour joined Al Ahly from Denmark’s Midtjylland and has become one of their standout midfielders. He also shone for Egypt at the 2026 World Cup.

Mohamed Salah has already moved to Trabzonspor. If Ashour arrives at Konyaspor, the two Egyptian stars could face off in Türkiye.
