The young Ghanaian international is considering Saudi Arabia, but financial gain is not his only criterion.

Christopher Bonsu Baah has acknowledged the progress of talks with Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah. The KRC Genk forward was quick to point out, however, that his decision won’t be based solely on financial factors.
Currently on holiday in his home country of Ghana, the 20-year-old recently traveled to Belgium to negotiate and finalize the last details of his move to Al Qadsiah. The deal reportedly includes a four-year contract running until 2029, with an additional one-year option. The official announcement of his departure is expected in the coming days.
While Saudi Arabia is widely considered a financially lucrative destination for players and their selling clubs, Christopher Bonsu Baah has made it clear what motivates him. It's worth noting that the transfer fee is reported to be around €15 million, according to sources—a real windfall for Genk. The Ghanaian himself is expected to see his salary double at Al Qadsiah.
"I am aware of the many discussions between my current club and Al Qadsiah. The Saudi club has shown me the project they have for me, and I am satisfied with it. But for now, I’m going back and will meet with my team to see what happens next. Talks are ongoing," he confirmed before adding: "For me, moving to Saudi Arabia is not a matter of money, it’s about progressing in my football career," he told Joy Sports.
