According to AS, Kubo rejoined Real Sociedad training at Zubieta on Monday after completing individual rehabilitation, working under coach Pellegrino Matarazzo to regain match sharpness.
He did not travel with Japan during this international window, remaining in Donostia to focus on his conditioning with the squad.
The winger has been out since the January meeting with Barcelona, sidelined by right hamstring discomfort. The club’s medical staff have overseen a tailored programme to minimise the risk of relapse before his full return to group work.
His recovery carries added weight with the Copa del Rey final looming on 18 April at La Cartuja in Seville, where Real will face Atlético de Madrid.
The time available should let the Japan international build workload and minutes in the coming league fixtures to arrive in optimal shape for the title date in Andalusia.
Before that showpiece, Real Sociedad are set to meet Levante and Alavés, which offer chances for him to test himself.
