Leeds United battled to a 1-1 draw at Tottenham on Monday, extending their unbeaten Premier League run to seven and moving above Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace. The point lifted Daniel Farke’s side into 14th with two games left.

Mathys Tel put the hosts ahead five minutes into the second half, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised from the spot after a high boot on Ethan Ampadu. Leeds could have nicked it in added time but Antonin Kinsky denied Sean Longstaff. yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk highlights three key takeaways from the night.

Injuries mounted. Jayden Bogle was absent with a hamstring issue, joining Facundo Buonanotte, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and Ilia Gruev on the sidelines, and Pascal Struijk went off with a hip problem. The timing is less damaging than it would have been during crunch periods, and it underlines how quickly depth can vanish when planning recruitment.

The bench featured academy prospects Rhys Chadwick and Jayden Lienou, yet the substitutes delivered. Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lukas Nmecha, Willy Gnonto and Longstaff all impressed despite limited minutes. There is a case that Gnonto, Longstaff and Nmecha outperformed Dan James, Ao Tanaka and Brenden Aaronson.

At full-time the mood was relaxed as Daniel Farke and his players celebrated with the travelling support. Their primary job is done, and they were mathematically safe with three to play, closer to eighth than 18th.

Elland Road should offer a rousing reception on Saturday, the first outing since safety was confirmed and the final home match of the season.
