Kylian Mbappé absent from France training | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappé (27) was absent from France’s training session on Tuesday, as per a report from L’Équipe.

Mbappé is the only one of France’s 23-man squad not to train at Clairefontaine today. The Real Madrid forward was present on Monday in what was Zinédine Zidane’s first training session as manager of Les Bleus.

L’Équipe understands that the France captain is suffering with cold-like symptoms, and as a result, he has stayed at the Château de Clairefontaine whilst the rest of the squad prepare for Friday night’s UEFA Nations League opener against Turkiye.

The former Paris Saint-Germain forward will be keen to recover in time for that game. France will also face Belgium twice, as well as Italy during this international break. During last summer’s FIFA World Cup, Mbappé made history by bypassing Olivier Giroud as Les Bleus’ all-time top scorer. RMC Sport understands that Zidane may want to move Mbappé back out to the left of France’s attack, which would allow Ousmane Dembélé to play centrally.
