Kylian Mbappé releases statement on Real Madrid’s dropped points vs Girona | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has taken to social media, to provide his response to the club’s latest disappointing result.

This of course comes after Los Blancos dropped another pair of points on Sunday evening.

After making the trip to the Estadi Montilivi to lock horns with Girona in a La Liga clash, Xabi Alonso’s troops battled their way to a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

This marked Real Madrid’s third successive solitary point haul in the Spanish top-flight, meaning they have surrendered table-topping status to arch rivals Barcelona.

The aforementioned Kylian Mbappé was for his part on target on the evening, slotting home from the penalty spot during the 2nd-half.

The Frenchman, though, was nevertheless left disappointed by the outcome following the full-time whistle in Catalunya.

Mbappé made as much clear in a post on his official Instagram account, reading:

‘Absolutely not the result we wanted tonight. But the league is still on and very long. We need to change this dynamic and show who we are as a team.’
