Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Ibrahima Konaté are at the centre of a row in Spain after only half-wearing a T-shirt supporting residents of Ceuta.
According to L'Équipe, the Real Madrid trio entered before Elche v Real Madrid on Tuesday with the garment pulled only over the upper torso. The match finished 2-3.
The T-shirt backed the inhabitants of Ceuta, the Spanish autonomous enclave on the Moroccan coast, which has faced a major migratory and political crisis since late July after an unprecedented influx.
Since Tuesday evening the gesture has drawn strong criticism from parts of the Spanish public, in a highly charged and polarising political climate.
The controversy stems from the players’ entrance, with the three targeted over the fact the support T-shirt was only half worn.
