Kyogo Furuhashi has been the subject of heavy transfer speculation in recent weeks
Birmingham City have, unarguably, dominated much of the transfer-themed discourse in the Championship since the start of the current window, which closes for business next Monday at 7PM.
After romping to the League One title in what was Chris Davies' first season in a full-time managerial role, Blues have certainly not had it their own way since returning to the Championship.
Despite welcoming 14 new players on permanent or loan transfers in the summer, Davies, Tom Wagner and Craig Gardner have overseen a heavy squad reshuffle over the past four weeks in order to give Birmingham a desired advantage in the play-off race with 17 matches of the league season still to play.
A 1-1 draw with Stoke City at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park on Saturday afternoon put a slight dent in those aspirations, with Blues still 13th in the Championship table, five points behind fellow promoted outfit, Wrexham, who surged into the top six over the course of the weekend.
As many as eight players - as was exclusively revealed by Football League World - have departed St. Andrew's since the window opened, whilst four have already come through the door in the form of Kai Wagner, Jhon Solis, Ibrahim Osman and August Priske.
The latter's switch from Djurgardens IF was also completed shortly after Lyndon Dykes' switch to Charlton Athletic was confirmed, although the Scotland international hasn't been the only striker linked with a potential departure.
Kyogo Furuhashi has also become the subject of exit talk, despite the fact the Japanese forward has recently found the back of the net against Cambridge United and Sheffield Wednesday.
With that being said, FLW has rounded up the latest news concerning the 31-year-old as the transfer deadline looms.

Just one week after they played out a 1-1 draw with Davies' side at the Swansea.Com Stadium, it had emerged that Swansea City have expressed their interest in striking a deal for the Blues forward.
Kyogo joined Birmingham for a reported £10m sum from Stade Rennais in July, but has only scored three times in all competitions so far this season, and was heavily linked with a shock return to Celtic earlier in the window.
However, it has become even more of a surprise in the eyes of many that the Swans are looking to strike a deal for the 23-time international.
Such developments were first claimed by Football Insider, and were then backed up by WalesOnline, albeit the latter did reveal that a transfer move for the former Hoops hotshot would be unlikely.

It remains to be seen whether the Swans' interest was regarding a permanent or loan swoop for Kyogo, although it has also been claimed that his wage packet is a key stumbling block.
Although this factor was mentioned by Football League World's Swansea City fan pundit, Will Hughes, he urged the club to consider a short-term deal, with the striker offering Vitor Matos' side a potentially different dimension to the Championship's current top scorer, Zan Vipotnik.
"It's a very interesting state of affairs and a very interesting rumour, to be honest," he said.
"I'll be honest, I wouldn't have thought the Swans would even be looking at Kyogo. Not after the money Birmingham spent on him, so it's a surprise.
"But look, do I think he's a good player? Yes. Do I think he's had a good season? No. Would I take him at the Swans? Yes, but it depends on what sort of transfer (it is) really," Hughes explained.
"If we're going to be buying him out of his contract and taking on his very heavy wages, then, at 31, I look at it and I think, well, 'that's not really a good signing'.
"In the long run, he might score a lot of goals for us. I think he'd suit Matos' style of play of the high press and, on the front foot, intensity football. I think that would work well for him, and I think he'd fit in very well.
"Again, it's a very big risk, especially with his age, as I say, his wages and everything, and a potential transfer fee."

As previously mentioned, Blues splashed out an eight-figure transfer sum to acquire Kyogo's services in July, and it is no surprise that he is reportedly the club's top earner as a result of the aforementioned fee and his overall recent pedigree.
However, it is clear that his wage demands are proving to be a sticking point for Swansea, as well as Celtic, who had previously set their sights on a reunion.
According to Scottish-based publication, the Herald, Kyogo earns an eye-catching £40,000 per week at St. Andrew's, which is £15,000 per week higher than the Swans' ESTIMATED top earners in the form of Cameron Burgess and the Japanese's former Parkhead striker partner, Adam Idah.
