The Congolese international Bakambu has denied rumors suggesting a possible misunderstanding with his current club, Real Betis.
He made this clear in a statement to the official media of the Andalusian club.
"I feel good here, I'm happy. They call me the Prince of Montequinto. Last year was a good season for the team, for me as well, and I want to keep it going. It's important to know there was a clause in my contract that allowed Betis to let me go, but they decided to keep me. I'm at the club's disposal, and we'll see what happens this season," he said.
"If the club decides to keep me, I'll stay, but if they decide otherwise, that's fine. The club will have no problem with me. That's the most important thing. I'm looking forward to playing this season. I want to score more goals for Betis. I'm feeling good, but there's always room for improvement," he added.
Bakambu's season in numbers
The Leopards' key man has only featured in 5 matches so far this season, with a total playing time estimated at 50 minutes, capped off with a single goal.
