Barcelona’s latest squad update has confirmed the shirt numbers for three of the club’s biggest summer signings, while the changes have also left Marc Casado and Hector Fort without assigned numbers.

La Liga’s official squad list now includes Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi and Rodri following the completion of their registrations

Rodri, Barcelona’s headline arrival of the summer, has taken the No. 16 shirt, while Gordon will wear No. 17 and Adeyemi has been handed No. 14, which was previously worn by Marcus Rashford.

Furthermore, even Andreas Christensen has been registered with No. 15 shirt, although not everyone has benefited from the latest changes.

Casado has lost the No. 17 shirt following Gordon’s arrival, while Fort also remains without a squad number as both players continue to train separately while waiting for a possible move away.

Rodri’s arrival has been the standout move of Barcelona’s transfer window, and the midfielder will continue with the No. 16 shirt that has become familiar during his time at Manchester City and with the Spanish national team.

Gordon, meanwhile, has been assigned No. 17. The shirt previously belonged to Casado, making the change one of the clearest signs that the squad hierarchy has shifted following Barcelona’s transfer activity.

Adeyemi will wear No. 14, a number that carries special weight in Barcelona’s history because of its association with Johan Cruyff.

Notably, Joao Cancelo remains another player awaiting final registration, with the Portuguese full-back expected to take the No. 2 shirt once the process is completed.

The LaLiga update also shows the uncertain situation facing Casado and Fort.

Casado’s loss of the No. 17 shirt to Gordon is particularly significant, as the midfielder remains part of the first-team group but is currently training separately.

Fort is in a similar position. The defender spent last season on loan at Elche and has returned to Barcelona, but he has also been left without a squad number while his future is resolved.

Neither situation has concluded, but the absence of numbers sends a clear message about their current standing in the squad.

Lastly, Roony Bardghji is another player without an assigned number. Unlike Casado and Fort, however, his situation is linked to injury after undergoing surgery on his right knee.
