La Liga outfit Celta Vigo are taking advantage of Rangers‘ failed transfer for Couhaib Driouech and have reached a verbal agreement with PSV Eindhoven for the winger.
Signing wingers this summer is high on Derek McInnes’ agenda and the Gers came very close to landing PSV Eindhoven star Driouech, but they pulled out of an agreed deal at the last moment.
Rangers came to an agreement with the Dutch outfit to sign the winger and they gave Driouech a medical after agreeing personal terms with the player.

However, during the tests Rangers discovered an injury which they felt would stop Driouech from playing immediately and, despite having offered him a four-year deal, it was enough to call the move off.
PSV boss Peter Bosz admitted that Driouech’s collapsed transfer left him in shock and the Dutch club indicated that the Moroccan’s injury was not a serious one that would keep him sidelined for too long.

Driouech returned to the Netherlands following his collapsed transfer to resume his campaign with PSV and he was spotted back on the training ground.
The 24-year-old has a host of admirers in the market and his failed transfer to Rangers boosted their hopes of landing him.
With Driouech still available, there has been interest from the MLS, while Celta Vigo have returned to the chase.
Celta Vigo have now managed to come to verbal agreement with PSV regarding Driouech’s transfer, but they have yet to reach personal agreement with the player, according to Dutch outlet Soccernews.nl.

The La Liga outfit remain in a strong position to land the Moroccan international and they will be hoping to reach an agreement with Driouech soon.
Following the cancellation of the Driouech deal, Rangers have yet to sign another winger and now with less than ten days remaining in the window, they will have to step up their winger search.
The Gers have their eyes on Girona’s young South Korean winger Kim Min-su, who spent last term on loan at Andorra.
