Labyad and Angileri train as Corinthians prepare for Cruzeiro

On the morning of this Tuesday (24th), Corinthians went to the Joaquim Grava Training Center and completed their preparations to face Cruzeiro in the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship. The match takes place this Wednesday (25th), at 8 PM (Brasília time), at Mineirão.

The squad, led by coach Dorival Júnior, started Tuesday's activities with a traditional warm-up session on the field. Following that, the team conducted tactical training to finalize preparations for the match in Belo Horizonte.

The attacking midfielder Zakaria Labyad, introduced this morning by the club, participated in the training, as did the left-back Fabrizio Angileri, who signed a new contract with Timão this February and is working to regain his fitness to play.

On the other hand, three players were absent from the training. Midfielder Matheus Pereira and forwards Kaio César and Yuri Alberto, all recovering from thigh muscle injuries, worked indoors at the training center and remain unavailable for Dorival Júnior.

With preparations complete, the alvinegro squad will travel this Tuesday afternoon to Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais, where they will stay focused until the match time against Cruzeiro.

Thus, Corinthians is expected to field a team with: Hugo Souza; Pedro Milans, Gabriel Paulista, João Pedro Tchoca, and Angileri; Charles, André, Carrillo, and Rodrigo Garro; Vitinho and Gui Negão.

The Alvinegro Paulista arrives at the match after securing two victories (against Red Bull Bragantino and Athletico-PR) and one defeat (against Bahia) in the first three rounds of the Brazilian Championship. Currently, Timão is in fifth place, with six points.
