LaLiga sets date and time for Basque league derby | OneFootball

LaLiga has set the kick-off for the next Basque derby, with Real Sociedad visiting Athletic at San Mamés on Sunday 1 November at 21.00 to conclude the 11th matchday.

The fixture will run in parallel with Deportivo de A Coruña vs Osasuna. As reported by Diario Vasco, with Friday’s EH Txapela final still fresh, both squads, injuries aside, should have their internationals back from duty.

The derby comes just before Europa League group stage matchday four, when Matarazzo’s side host Olympique Lyon at Anoeta on Thursday 5 at 18.45.

The congested calendar around international breaks will require Matarazzo to manage workloads across his squad.

Real Sociedad will look to recall their last visit to La Catedral, the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals, when they were superior and won 0-1 through Turrientes.
