Lamine Yamal made it back to Spain's camp just in time, returning five minutes before the 21:00 deadline after a rest day in Nashville.
El Periódico Mediterráneo reports the forward was the last to check in, with the cut-off set by Luis de la Fuente.
He avoided a €2,000 fine, plus €100 per late minute, figures revealed by Marcos Llorente in an interview with Onda Cero.
Lamine spent the day with friends, his mother and younger brother. He has worked to be in top shape for the 2026 World Cup and is in contention to start on Sunday against Saudi Arabia.
Elsewhere, Grimaldo, Cucurella and Baena played golf, while Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia and Ayméric Laporte visited the city's outlets.
Rodri enjoyed time with his partner and took a boat out on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga.
Borja Iglesias swam in the hotel pool, then briefly had trouble at the entrance when security did not recognise him.
Security was later tightened, and fans were no longer allowed to collect autographs as players such as Grimaldo and Baena walked in.
Families visited Lockout Mountain on Tuesday, with views said to stretch across up to seven United States states. Spain resume training on Thursday, with a media appearance scheduled for Marc Cucucrella.
