Fabrizio Romano reports that Lamine Camara, 22, is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Chelsea from Monaco, with the deal targeted for completion before the transfer deadline.

RMC Sport says Chelsea have agreed a fee in the region of €50m plus bonuses for the Senegal international midfielder.

The Blues negotiated throughout deadline day as they sought a replacement for Enzo Fernández, 25, who looks set to join Manchester City for a record-equalling British fee of £125m.

Monaco initially valued Camara at around €70m, confident they did not need to sell as Folarin Balogun seemingly headed to Everton.

After the USMNT forward failed his medical, the Principality club negotiated at a lower price to raise funds. All signs now point to Camara joining Chelsea.
