FC Barcelona have emerged as one of the main contenders at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards, which will hold their sixteenth edition on 28 December at the Atlantis The Royal in Dubai.

The Catalan giants appear among the favourites in almost every major category, both in the men’s and women’s sections.

In the most prestigious category, Best Player, Barcelona are represented by Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.

They will compete with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Ousmane Dembele, Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz and Harry Kane.

In the women’s Best Player category, the Blaugrana again have a strong presence with Aitana Bonmati, Caroline Graham Hansen, Claudia Pina, Patri Guijarro, Ewa Pajor and Alexia Putellas.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are also nominated for Best Team and Best Women’s Team, competing with clubs such as PSG, Bayern, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Hansi Flick, who won three trophies in his first season on the Catalans’ bench, is nominated for Best Coach alongside Luis Enrique, Xabi Alonso, Roberto Martinez, Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte.

In specific categories, Barcelona players feature in Best Midfielder (Pedri and Fermín Lopez), Best Forward (Raphinha, Lewandowski and Lamine) and Best Breakthrough Player (Pau Cubarsi), an award that Lamine Yamal won last year.

Meanwhile, Barcelona sporting director Deco is also in the running for the Best Director prize.

This broad representation confirms Barcelona as one of the main protagonists of the Globe Soccer Awards after a historic 2024/25 season.
