Lamine vs Dembélé: Kylian Mbappé picks his Ballon d’Or winner | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this weekend provided his take on the ongoing race for the next Ballon d’Or.

This comes with the candidates, in the eyes of the majority, having now been narrowed to just two names.

First up comes Paris Saint-Germain frontman Ousmane Dembélé, fresh off leading the French champions to a first-ever Champions League title.

And the 2nd is Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal, in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular stretch of form for club and country alike.

The two players locked horns on the international front during the week, with Lamine having come out on top, notching a brace in a 5-4 Spain victory over France.

During an appearance in front of the media on Saturday, the subject of the Ballon d’Or battle was therefore put to another of Les Bleus’ stars, in Kylian Mbappé.

And the Real Madrid standout was unwavering in his response, assuring:

“I would give the Ballon d’Or to Ousmane Dembélé. Would I vote for Dembélé? Yes. Do I really need to explain? If we’re talking about Yamal and Dembélé, I’d choose Dembélé. My vote is very clear.”
