After the war of words between Hansi Flick and Luis De la Fuente, the La Roja boss decided to call up Lamine Yamal for the two fixtures against Georgia and Bulgaria. Just moments later, FC Barcelona released a statement revealing that their young sensation was still suffering from a pubic injury sustained during the match against PSG and would be sidelined for two to three weeks.

Since then, the saga has taken another twist. Indeed, Marca reports that Barça told the Spanish federation that Lamine Yamal was fatigued, but never mentioned any injury and did not discuss a possible withdrawal from the Sevilla match. This has led to Luis De la Fuente’s decision to call him up.
