It's official! Lamine Yamal will not join the national team this October. Barça has just confirmed the young Spanish prodigy’s withdrawal.

While the controversy between FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team regarding Lamine Yamal has been making headlines in recent hours, it should quickly subside with the club's official statement. "The groin pain that has been bothering Lamine Yamal has reappeared after the match against PSG. He will miss the game against Sevilla and his recovery is estimated at two to three weeks," reads the statement released by the Blaugrana.

As a result, Lamine Yamal will miss the clash with Sevilla and, according to Barça’s medical staff, is not fit to join the national squad, where he had been called up by Luis De La Fuente.
