Larin double lifts Southampton into seventh | OneFootball

Southampton beat Bristol City 4-1 at St Mary's to climb to seventh in the Championship, with Cyle Larin scoring twice.

In the 38th minute, Cyle Larin arrowed a left-footed strike from outside the box into the top right after Finn Azaz's pass.

After the restart, Larin finished a break at close range (61.). Lorent Tolaj halved the deficit soon after, turning in Rio Cardines' cross (66.). Cardines now leads the Championship assists chart on five.

Kuryu Matsuki restored the cushion with a tidy finish (82.), before Azaz swept in a fourth from Divin Mubama's cut-back (85.).

City mustered 21 attempts, testing the goalkeeper six times. The Saints produced 10 attempts, with five on target. Daniel Peretz made four saves to keep them in control.

Larin is now top of the Championship scoring charts on seven goals. The Saints have won all four of their home league games this season.
