Leandro Martins struck in the 88th minute to earn Benfica a 2-2 draw against Porto. The substitute's finish salvaged a point in Lisboa and halted the visitors' first half momentum.
Martins darted to the near post to turn in Franjo Ivanović's driven cross (88.) for the Águias, capping a spell of pressure after the restart that had pushed Porto deep.
In the eighth minute of second half stoppage time he combined again down the left, supplying the pass before Samuel Dahl's effort was blocked as the Encarnados chased a winner.
The Luxembourg international ended with one attempt, two key passes and three touches in the box, while also winning two possessions in advanced areas. Those late numbers underlined his impact off the bench in the most dangerous zones.
Because the Encarnados kept width and flooded the area with runners, Martins' timing from the second line repeatedly unsettled Porto's defence and tilted the final phases Benfica's way.
The Encarnados visit Arouca next in Liga Portugal. Porto travel to VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Europa League.
