Erling Haaland was left elated and overjoyed after our pulsating 2-1 Premier League comeback victory over Liverpool at Anfield.
Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a tremendous long-range free-kick after 74 minutes, but skipper Bernardo Silva poked us level 10 minutes later.
Three minutes into stoppage time, Matheus Nunes was fouled inside the box by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson and up stepped Haaland to stroke into the bottom left corner in front of a frenzied away end as we completed a dramatic turnaround.
However, there was still more drama to come, as Gianluigi Donnarumma made a splendid save to deny Alexis Mac Allister a leveller, with Alisson advancing for the resulting corner.
Rayan Cherki broke quickly from the corner and played a pass from halfway towards Haaland, but the ball trickled into the empty net, only for the goal to be disallowed for a foul from Szoboszlai on Haaland as the ball rolled into the net, resulting in a red card for the Hungarian.
“Incredible feeling!” began Haaland in an interview after the game. “Incredible feeling when Bernardo scored. I was hoping he would celebrate a little bit more but he wanted another goal, which I loved. In the end it’s incredible feelings.

“I was really nervous right before taking it. All my thoughts were getting it in the back of the net, which I couldn’t do in the home game so I’ve been practicing. I’m just happy that I scored.
“We know how difficult it is here. We saw in the second half they played good football. We managed to keep them away.
“And look at Gigio with an incredible save from Mac Allister. For me it was out of this world. It shows why he’s the best in the world.”
The striker continued to praise Bernardo’s positive mentality following the equaliser and believes the team need to take this winning momentum into some crucial upcoming fixtures.
“I spoke before the game and this place is so tough to come to, we knew it and I think we started well. We managed to stay through and we never gave up.
“This is what I loved about Bernardo’s goal, he wanted another one straight away and he gave the signal to not only me, to the whole club and fans, that let’s have it.
“We need to believe and to start winning games. This is what matters in the end.”
