According to reliable sources, the Saudi club Al Hilal is actively working to finalize contract renewals for its two African stars, Yassine Bounou and Kalidou Koulibaly, before they enter their free agency period starting this January.Their contracts are set to expire on June 30, 2026, which would allow them to negotiate freely with other clubs from January onward. This scenario has prompted the club’s management to get a head start on negotiations to secure the duo’s future.
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the "Leader's" management has officially initiated talks with Bounou and Koulibaly, with strong backing from both fans and club executives. The negotiations are progressing in a positive atmosphere, and both players have expressed their desire to continue their journey with the club.Since joining Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, Bounou has played 99 matches, keeping 38 clean sheets. Koulibaly, meanwhile, has featured in 100 games, scoring 5 goals, providing 3 assists, and picking up 18 yellow cards and one red card. The coming weeks are expected to bring the official announcement of their contract extensions, confirming Al Hilal’s intent to retain two of its defensive cornerstones.
