The Ecuadorian international joined Chelsea for a then British record of £115m from Brighton in the summer of 2023, and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Caicedo put pen to paper on a new contract last month, which saw his stay at Stamford Bridge extended until 2033.
Fresh off signing a new deal, Jacobs took to X.com to report Caicedo had switched agents to CAA Base, with the timing perhaps slightly unusual.
Switching agents isn’t uncommon in football, but it’s usually done in order to try and get a new contract, or to facilitate a move down the line.
Caicedo has insisted he’s very happy at Chelsea and still believes in the club’s project despite a really difficult season.
Like the majority of his team-mates, Caicedo has suffered a dip in form this season, which can partly be put to down to participation at the Club World Cup last summer.
Caicedo put in a much improved performance against Liverpool, and the Blues will hope he’s at his best for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.
