There’s no indication Chelsea will review the performance of the club’s sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

Winstanley and Stewart were selected by the ownership to assemble Chelsea’s squad, and almost four years into the project fans can’t believe they are still in the charge.
The duo have put together a squad that’s not capable of competing simultaneously in the Premier League and Champions League, with there gaping holes in certain positions despite the vast expenditure.
Chelsea have qualified once for the Champions League in the last three seasons, and that could become once in four seasons come the end of the campaign.
The sporting directors simply haven’t signed players of the required quality, but much to the bemusement of fans seem safe in their job.
Not to mention the last two managers they appointed have walked out on the club, whilst their latest appointment Liam Rosenior appears completely out of his depth.
However, it appears Chelsea aren’t planning to replace the duo, and Kinsella has provided an update in a Q & A for BBC Sport.
“It is something I’ve looked into before, but there has never been any indication they would be reviewed for what fans increasingly see as underperformance,” he wrote.
“They would argue that they have reduced the wage bill, balanced the books and still won a couple of trophies last season.
“As for the sporting directors, I know a section of the fanbase is frustrated with certain signings and with the club not pursuing some big-name targets.
“However, Chelsea are now extremely disciplined on wages and remain satisfied with the people in charge.”
