Lautaro agent confirms Inter stay and clarifies Calhanoglu row: ‘It’s normal’ | OneFootball

Alejandro Camaño, the agent of Inter captain Lautaro Martinez, has confirmed that his client will be staying put with the Nerazzurri, and insists that his public spat with teammate Hakan Calhanoglu earlier this summer was ‘normal’, particularly after a tough defeat.

Camaño was in the city of Milan on Thursday and was stopped for questioning by reporters on his way in and out of the club’s headquarters.

The Argentine exec fielded quickfire questions on Lautaro, Achraf Hakimi and Lazio defender Mario Gila, all of whom are under his management.

Lautaro Martinez agent takes questions on Gila, Calhanoglu and Hakimi

On his way into the Inter HQ, Camaño said that he was ‘very happy’ for Hakimi and Paris Saint-Germain with their recent successes in the Champions League and at the Club World Cup, but laughed off suggestions that he could be returning to San Siro in the near future.

He have a brief thumbs up and a nod as he turned away while reporters asked him if Lautaro is ‘100%’ going to stay at Inter.

Then, on his way out of the Inter headquarters, Camaño confirmed that ‘everything was great’ during his meeting. He said that he and the club were talking about the general situation and plans for next season: “Tutto Bene,” or “all good,” he concluded on that matter.

Camaño appeared slightly surprised when asked about Lazio’s Gila, who has been linked with a move to Inter and also to various Premier League sides this summer.

“Gila plays for Lazio,” Camaño said. “He has two years on his contract, he has no objections to Lazio,” he confirmed.

And finally, on the row between Lautaro and Calhanoglu after Inter’s disappointing exit from the FIFA Club World Cup, Camaño added: “When the game doesn’t go well, some things can happen after. But no, all good. All as normal. Inter has a great squad.”
