Lazio will now definitely not capture Hugo Lloris from Tottenham Hotspur but they are close to sealing a move for Salernitana goalkeeper Luigi Sepe.
Lazio continue to look for a second-choice goalkeeper, with Luis Maximiano having joined Almeria. Hugo Lloris has rejected the possibility of joining the Roman side but Gianluca di Marzio has reported that an agreement has been reached with Salernitana for Sepe.
The agreement reached is for a loan deal which includes no players and Seppe is likely to arrive on a dry loan deal. The Italian will leave the Serie A only after a season following his move to Salerno from Parma, where his contract had expired and he has joined Salernitana on a free transfer.
Last season, Sepe made 17 total appearances keeping three clean sheets for the Serie A side. He has previously plied his trade with Napoli, where he played only four times for the senior side.
