Lazio are reportedly one of the clubs tracking Atlético Nacional centre-back Neider Parra, who is destined to land in Europe sooner rather than later.
The 21-year-old rose through the ranks of the Colombian champions, becoming a full-fledged member of the first team at the start of the year. This season, he made 16 appearances across all competitions, contributing with two assists. He is considered one of the best emerging centre-backs in the country.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Biancocelesti have joined several other European clubs in the race for Parra’s signature. The Roman newspaper names Premier League duo Brighton and Bournemouth as two alternative destinations for the young defender, in addition to Bologna, Genk, PSV Eindhoven, and OGC Nice.
The Colombian’s current contract with Atletico Nacional is valid until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his value at €800,000.
Despite what the report suggests, it’s difficult to envision Lazio recruiting another centre-back, even if he won’t command a large investment. The Binacocelesti have already revamped their defence in the summer after parting ways with Mario Gila, Alessio Romagnoli, and Samuel Gigot.

These players were replaced by three new defenders in the shape of Danilho Doekhi, Josip Sutalo, and Diogo Leite, who joined Oliver Provstgaard at the back. These new options have given Gennaro Gattuso a positive selection headache, as he admitted he has four reliable players vying for two spots. The Aquile also have two promising defenders in Felipe Bordon (21) and his brother Ricardo Bordon (19).
