Lazio Prefer to Sell Inter & AC Milan Target to Bournemouth

Inter Milan are reportedly ahead of the competition for Mario Gila, but Lazio prefer to do business with Bournemouth or Leicester City.
The 25-year-old appears destined to leave the club at the end of the season, and he’s already being linked with a host of potential destinations, including Atletico Madrid. In recent days, AC Milan emerged as one of the Spaniard’s staunchest suitors, but according to Il Messaggero, their crosstown rivals Inter are leading the race.
The Nerazzurri have apparently made some progress in the negotiations with the defender’s agent, Alejandro Camano, who also represents Inter’s captain, Lautaro Martinez. The Serie A leaders are even considering signing Gila in the summer of 2027 on a free transfer. But as the Roman newspaper explains, Lazio are keen to avoid this scenario.
Claudio Lotito and Co. will reportedly launch one final attempt to renew the player’s contract. However, this requires a substantial pay rise, as the Barcelona native is currently one of the club’s lowest earners, with a net salary below €1 million, and a gross salary of €1.6 million.
If the Biancocelesti fail to find an agreement with Gila and his entourage, their Plan B is to sell him in the summer. The priority would be to send him to England, where his several admirers, including Bournemouth, who signed Christos Mandas from Lazio in January.
Leicester City are also mentioned as a suitor, but the club is currently struggling in their quest to avoid relegation from the Championship to League One, making it an unlikely destination for the Spanish international
