Lazio sign Davide Frattesi on loan from Inter Milan | OneFootball

Lazio have completed the signing of Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan after rapid talks this week.

The club said in a statement on Friday evening that he joins on a temporary deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Negotiations began on Tuesday and an agreement was reached on Thursday. He was due in Rome by Friday midday, but Lega Serie A halted the move because of restrictions on Lazio's transfer operations this summer.

A phone call between presidents Claudio Lotito and Giuseppe Marotta resolved the impasse, with the obligation to buy removed. The revised terms are a €5 million loan, a €10 million option and a 50% sell-on clause in Inter's favour.

The switch brings Frattesi back to his roots, having come through Lazio's academy before crossing to Roma. He then broke through at Sassuolo, earning a €32 million transfer to Inter in summer 2023.

He never became an automatic starter with the Nerazzurri, yet the Italy international scored decisive goals off the bench, including the extra-time winner in the Champions League final against Barcelona in May 2025.
