Lazio have submitted a new offer for Leicester City teenager Lorenz Hutchinson, with negotiations under way between the clubs, Ben Jacobs reported on Tuesday.

Football Insider recently highlighted their interest in the 18-year-old forward, who is on an expiring contract.

Hutchinson has four goals and three assists in 18 outings for Leicester’s U21s, and previously registered 27 goals and eight assists across 38 appearances for the U18s.

Eligible for England and Jamaica, he has already played for England U19s, scoring once in three caps.

Lazio have been searching for a striker all summer. Hutchinson is not the senior addition Gennaro Gattuso has been seeking, and would likely join the Primavera or head out on loan for minutes in the lower divisions.

The Biancocelesti are also working on a deal for Sassuolo striker Andrea Pinamonti, who is expected to arrive in the coming days to reinforce Gattuso’s attack.
