Lazio are still looking to cash in on Matteo Cancellieri this summer and, according to Il Messaggero, could then move for Swedish winger Isak Bjerkebo. He joined in 2022 and has spent two of the last four seasons on loan at Empoli and Parma.
Last season the 24-year-old started the first two games, against Mantova in the Coppa Italia and Bologna in Serie A, but was expected to lose his place once Gustav Isaksen regained fitness. Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani are keen to sell now, even for a modest fee, rather than risk a free exit in June.
Lazio had looked to send him to Genoa, yet he has resisted that destination, perhaps holding out for a more appealing suitor. Rumours have also linked Juventus fringe player Edon Zhegrova, while Bjerkebo has been floated as another option.
The 23-year-old from Stoby came through Malmo, then joined Sirius in March 2025 after other spells in Sweden. He has 18 appearances this season, with 13 goals and five assists, and is contracted until December 2029. Transfermarkt values him at €3.5 million.
Bjerkebo is right-footed and usually plays off the left, so he would not be a like-for-like replacement for the left-footed Cancellieri. He could back up Mattia Zaccagni there, with the versatile Tijjani Noslin adding depth on the right beyond Isaksen.
