Lazio are weighing a push for RB Leipzig striker Conrad Harder if Petar Ratkov leaves. According to The Laziali, any move for the Dane depends on offloading the Serbian.
Andrea Pinamonti was confirmed as a Lazio player on Thursday morning, giving Gennaro Gattuso a new centre-forward. The 27-year-old arrives from Sassuolo, but further changes in attack remain possible.
Ratkov had previously turned down Dynamo Moscow and Southampton, yet he is now considering an exit after being told he is not in Gattuso’s plans. He is said to be open to joining Sevilla.
Lazio and Sevilla are discussing terms, with the Spanish club seen as favourites to land Ratkov. The Italians want an obligation to buy at season’s end, or at least an increased loan fee.
Should Ratkov depart, Lazio would step up for Harder, a 22-year-old Danish international who joined Leipzig from Sporting CP last summer and has not nailed down a starting spot. Leeds United and Galatasaray are also tracking the forward.
If no further signing arrives, Boulaye Dia would be the main alternative to Pinamonti through the middle. Tijjani Noslin can lead the line, although Gattuso prefers to use him out wide.
