The 23-year-old has been on the Aquile’s list for some time, although as a replacement for one of the club’s right-backs, as he primarily plays on the right side of the back-four. Nevertheless, the Spaniard is also comfortable occupying the centre-back role.

Therefore, Di Marzio believes Martinez can be an important addition to the squad thanks to his versatility. He would essentially boost the club’s centre-back options, but would also be fielded in his original right-back role when required. The source adds that Manuel Lazzari could be on his way out, with the returning Romano Floriani Mussolini acting as Adam Marusic’s understudy.
