Lazio’s ultras will stage a mass protest on two July after news that president Claudio Lotito has bought Reggina.

According to Football Italia, sections of the support have boycotted home matches at the Stadio Olimpico, leaving stands sparse even during major Serie A fixtures. They paused the protest only for rare exceptions, notably the Coppa Italia Final defeat to Inter.

Supporters plan an evening march from Ponte Milvio to Piazzale Ankara, the site of the Stadio Flaminio.

The purchase of bankrupt Reggina could be problematic, since new regulations ban one person from owning more than one club in the professional leagues.

Reggina are in Serie D following their collapse, but if they were to win promotion to Serie C, Lotito would have to choose between them and Lazio.

Aurelio De Laurentiis also runs Napoli and Bari, a case that pre-dates the new rules, and he has until 2028-29 to resolve it.
