Le Mans seize first league win as early strike and Diallo header down Lorient | OneFootball

Le Mans beat Lorient 2-1 at Stade Marie-Marvingt on Saturday to record their first league win of the season and climb from 14th to eighth.

In the third minute, Adil Bourabaa arrowed a left-footed strike from outside the box into the bottom left corner after Rayan Bamba's pass.

An enforced change followed for the visitors when Panos Katseris went off injured, with Théo Le Bris introduced (17.).

After the restart, Habib Diallo doubled the lead with a glancing header from Lucas Bretelle's corner (57.).

Nicolas Kocik then kept Le Mans in control, tipping away Mamadou Koné's awkward header (76.). Moments later, Isak Jensen halved the deficit from close range after Arsène Kouassi's pass (78.).

Le Mans carried the greater threat across the night, landing seven shots on target from 11 attempts. Lorient managed two efforts on target from nine attempts as their late push fell short.
