Le Mans ‘to sign’ Coritiba full-back João Almeida on one-year loan

Le Mans have agreed to sign 20-year-old full-back João Almeida on a season-long loan from Coritiba.

Ge Globo reports that the clubs have reached agreement for the defender to join on loan, with visa formalities being finalised before his arrival in France.

The move is a loan without a purchase option, though the clubs could seek an agreement if Le Mans wish to keep him.

Both Le Mans and Coritiba are owned by the Brazilian investment fund OutField, which is led by Le Mans president Pedro Oliveira.

It is the second Brazilian addition of the summer after Enzo Vagner, who is training with the first-team group and has played his first minutes for the reserves.
