Le Puy-en-Velay bring in Salif Lebouath on loan from Valenciennes | OneFootball

Le Puy-en-Velay have secured the season-long loan of Salif Lebouath from Valenciennes, targeting a little-used option to bolster their right flank.

According to Le Progres, the 24-year-old joined Valenciennes this summer from Pau, having previously played for Colomiers, and will now spend the rest of the campaign at Le Puy.

Typically busy in the summer window, Le Puy have moved again late on. They are three matches without a win in Ligue 3, with two defeats at Cannes and a draw against Orléans, and sought to tweak the squad.

Lebouath has featured only twice in brief cameos since the start of the season for a Valenciennes side struggling to find rhythm.

He is due to arrive on Wednesday, with Le Puy hoping he can operate as a wing-back on the right. The timing comes 10 days before a reunion with his former club at Nungesser on Saturday 26 September at 20 h 45.
