Juárez is widely viewed as one of Liga MX’s longest shots to make a deep run in the competition, but tournaments like the Leagues Cup have a habit of producing surprises. An upset victory in Minnesota would immediately change the narrative surrounding the club.

That task, however, won’t be easy. Minnesota United have become one of the Western Conference’s most reliable teams thanks to their defensive organization and consistent performances at Allianz Field. That momentum will be tested against one of MLS’s most consistent clubs. Vancouver have established themselves as perennial contenders through an aggressive, vertical style of play and a roster that blends experienced veterans with emerging talent.
