According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Patrick Dorgu is a long-time Milan target, as the Rossoneri had a €10m bid rejected by Lecce last year.
Dorgu’s Lecce will visit Milan at the Stadio Meazza tonight in the opening game of Serie A Round 6.
A 19-year-old Denmark international, Dorgu has been scouted by Chelsea and Tottenham, but Milan have been following the promising full-back for longer.
According to the latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri offered €10m for the Danish defender in 2023 after seeing him contribute to Lecce’s Primavera title victory.
Dorgu hadn’t yet made his Serie A debut then, but Lecce still rejected Milan’s offer. A few weeks later, Dorgu made his senior debut under Roberto D’Aversa and became a regular starter in the second part of the season under Luca Gotti.
Dorgu usually plays as a left-back, but he’s been deployed higher up the pitch this season. Multiple Italian sources claim that Lecce’s asking price for Dorgu new exceeds €30m.
The 19-year-old scored on his senior Denmark debut earlier this month and has two appearances with his national team.
