Leeds United drew 1-1 with Manchester United at Croke Park in Dublin, then lost 5-4 on penalties for the Boyle Sports Cup.

United led in the 16th minute when Bryan Mbeumo escaped Jaka Bijol down the left and squared for Joshua Zirkzee to beat Trafford.

Youngster Rhys Chadwick took six at left wing back, defending well against Amad and showing promise.
