According to Leeds Live, Leeds United are moving towards a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi while Lucas Perri’s exit to Torino is not yet complete.

Daniel Farke wants further additions after last season’s survival. The club have already signed Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo, record £40m buy James Trafford from Manchester City and free agent Harry Wilson from Fulham.

Elvedi is seen as Sebastiaan Bornauw’s replacement, with the latter expected to join Hamburg, and Leeds are confident of concluding a deal for the Switzerland international. He is understood to be close.

Farke said earlier this week that, out of respect for Bornauw and his professionalism, the club will also consider the player’s wishes.

Leeds agreed a fee with Torino for Perri and a medical was arranged, but the move is not yet done. Marseille are said to have ramped up contact and Perri is in no rush. Torino remain confident.

According to TEAMtalk, Leeds raised Igor Paixao during talks after Marseille signalled interest in Perri. The Brazilian is not pushing to leave, though Marseille’s need to raise funds could alter that. Leeds admire him, he was heavily linked last season, but there is no advanced interest and a deal cannot be ruled out.
