Leeds United have completed a rapid contract hat-trick this week, with USA international Brenden Aaronson signing a new three-year deal. The club said in a statement that the versatile attacker has committed to Elland Road until 2029, following fresh terms for Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle this week.

Aaronson joined for £25m from Red Bull Salzburg in May 2022. The 25-year-old produced four goals and five assists in 37 outings last season as Leeds finished 14th on their Premier League return.

Since arriving in West Yorkshire, he has made 129 appearances and was integral to the 2024/25 Championship title, then carried that form into the top flight.

This summer he was named in his country’s FIFA World Cup squad, helping the United States reach the Round of 16. His pre-season featured goals against Liverpool and Manchester United, plus further assists.

Off the pitch he has worked with the Leeds United Foundation on community initiatives. Leeds open their league campaign this weekend against Nottingham Forest.
